A meeting was held between TASA, State Rep. Keisling and AmeriGroup on Monday (3-16-15).
AmeriGroup admitted they had made an error by not reducing the payments to EMS services as a result of the TnCare cuts since July 1, 2011. We expressed our concerns about the amount of time/hours it would take to adjust each account, issuing refunds from fiscal budgets that have already been closed and the overall issue that this was not an error by EMS services.
The AmeriGroup representative said he would take these concerns to his CEO and report back to us within a few days. As soon as we get more feedback we will pass the information along.
