After much consideration, TASA has decided to move the 2021 Leadership Conference to to March 10-12, 2021. This decision was made to provide additional time for the current pandemic situation to improve with vaccinations and herd immunity. It is TASA’s goal to have this conference “in-person” rather than virtual. TASA tried to push the dates out to April or May but the hotel is booked from March through August 2021.
The hotel management is reporting that several conferences have been held recently with much success using social distancing, sanitation and masks wearing. These conferences have been similar, if not larger, than our typical attendance.
As healthcare providers, it is incumbent upon us to do all that we can to ensure that we are not contributing to the pandemic problems. Although no one can predict the future of this pandemic, we believe with the vaccinations being provided to EMS staff and pushing the conference dates out as far as possible, we will be able to host our annual conference “in-person” with appropriate measures in place.
