2025 TASA Mid-Winter Pre-Conferences
EMS Administrator Foundations 1.0 – Wednesday February 19 (8am-12pm) FREE
A foundational training for individuals with a varying ranges of experience in managing Emergency Medical Services (EMS) administrative responsibilities. This course is the first part of a series designed to provide essential knowledge, skills, and tools needed to effectively oversee and coordinate EMS operations, compliance, and administrative tasks.

This course is being provided in coordination with the TN Ambulance Service Association (TASA) and the University of TN – County Technical Assistance Service (CTAS)
TEMSEA Leadership II: Preceptor and FTO – Tuesday Feb. 18 (12pm-4pm) – Wednesday Feb. 19 (8am-12pm) $100
This course is for the new, soon to be, or recently new Preceptor and/or Field Training Officer. The role of the trainer has been said to be one of if not the most important role in any EMS service. In this course we will empower you with a few tools and skills to help you be successful in your role as a trainer, whether that be as a preceptor for a student or as a field training officer in your agency. In this course we will describe the qualities of a good trainer and discuss the importance of self-development. We will define the roles of the trainer and discuss how you can work with our administration to fulfill and exemplify the roles and qualities within your organization. We will discuss the components of a high-quality training program. Lastly, we will also demonstrate how to provide feedback constructively and have those crucial conversations.
