TennCare Increased Fee Schedule Update – December 11, 2020: CMS has approved the 67.5% of Medicare Fee Schedule directed payment program. According to TennCare officials, it will likely take a few months for the MCO’s to reprocess the claims back to April 2020 and likely a month or more to update the base reimbursement moving forward. TennCare is currently working with the MCO’s to get the ball rolling on this process.

TennCare Ground Ambulance Assessment Program – November 25, 2020: TennCare assessment invoices and kicker payments for State Fiscal Year 2021 – Quarter 1 are being received.

• The assessment invoices are based on the number of transports reported by your service on your 2019 State EMS Audit. This number is then divided by 4 to get your invoice amount for SFY21 Quarter 1 assessment.
• Your kicker payments are based on your “paid” TennCare claims for July 1 – September 30, 2020.
