The final rule for ambulance service DEA registration has now been in effect for more than 90 days. AAA members in some states report being unable to register, while others have been told that their hospital supplier plans to stop distributing scheduled drugs now that ambulance services can register independently.

Implementation has been inconsistent across states. The AAA Government Affairs Team would greatly appreciate you taking a moment to complete this brief, five-question survey and let us know whether your service has attempted to register as an agency under the new regulations.

We want to hear from agencies that encountered challenges as well as those that successfully registered so we can better assess implementation issues and identify solutions to any barriers services may be facing. Please share your experience before Friday, June 12.
