The role of the trainer has been said to be one of if not the most important role in any EMS service. In this course we will empower you with a few tools and skills to help you be successful in your role as a trainer\, whether that be as a preceptor for a student or as a field training officer in your agency. In this course we will describe the qualities of a good trainer and discuss the importance of self-development. We will define the roles of the trainer and discuss how you can work with our administration to fulfill and exemplify the roles and qualities within your organization. We will discuss the components of a high-quality training program. Lastly\, we will also demonstrate how to provide feedback constructively and have those crucial conversations. \n\nReflect on the importance and value of the trainer role\nDefine the qualities of a good trainer\nDiscuss importance of self-development\nUnderstand the roles of the trainer\nDiscuss examples on how to fulfill roles and exemplify qualities\nDemonstrate how to provide feedback and constructive criticism\nDiscuss the components of a high-quality training program\n\nThis course is being provided by the TN EMS Educators Association. \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n
