We are sad to announce the passing of Larry Griffin. Larry was a true EMS pioneer and one of the founding father’s of TASA. He was recently featured in a Zoom presentation about the history of EMS and TASA at the TASA Leadership Conference. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and staff at Crockett County EMS.
It is with a heavy heart that we let you all know that our beloved founder and father of TN EMS has passed away. Larry Griffin’s influence is widely felt across our great state and when the history of Tennessee EMS is written, it must include the name Larry Griffin. Thank you Larry for your many years of sacrificial service to Tennesseans and especially Crockett Countians.
The first, the greatest, and the original Crockett 1. Thank you for giving a little boy the opportunity to ride so many years ago. It made a big difference in my life.
Funeral arrangements for Larry Griffin will be as follows:
Visitation Monday night from 4-7pm at Alamo First Baptist Church at 2444 Hwy 88 South Alamo, TN 38001
Memorial service will be held Tuesday at 2pm at Alamo First Baptist Church.
